The Director of the Iona Institute is David Quinn. David Quinn is a well known journalist who specialises in religious and social affairs. Currently he has columns in both The Irish Independent and The Irish Catholic. He frequently appears on radio and television programmes and also contributes to numerous magazines overseas. As Director, his main function is to represent the Institute publicly, and to run and coordinate its various projects and undertakings.
Research and policy officer: Dr. Thomas Finegan. Tom holds a PhD in law from Trinity College Dublin, an MA in philosophy from University College Dublin, and a degree in theology from St. Patrick's Pontifical College, Maynooth. He has published in various academic journals, including the American Journal of Jurisprudence, Religious Studies, Medical Law International, Dublin University Law Journal, Transnational Legal Theory, and the Australian Journal of Legal Philosophy. He is currently researching a further PhD (in theology) in Mary Immaculate College, University of Limerick.

Vincent Twomey: Fr Twomey is a member of the Divine Word Missionaries. He was professor of moral theology at St Patrick's College, Maynooth, until 2006. He is one of Ireland's foremost experts in Catholic moral theology.
